STEWARDESS
I’m a stewardess, but I used to be an editor for a magazine, so I always have had my head in the clouds. In addition, I’ve always been attracted by the heights and distances and so I came up with a great idea – I could explore the world as a flight attendant! 🙂

I explored Paris in the past, but I never have enough of this city, same like crème brulee or croissants! Most people guess I’m French, probably because I feel like a Parisian myself. 🙂
I love coffee or a glass of wine, art, old streets and the simple Parisian style that Coco Channel once came with. Another little girl on the board asked me whether I was from France. 🙂 The cabin crew say that Paris flight it’s not that easy, but to me it was just fine. Moreover, I’ve just heard that the night we arrive it’s the Night of museums, the only day of the year, when all the museums are open even at night and they are for free! This must be a sign! My Romanian colleague shares the passion with me, so I have a buddy for my “Midnight in Paris” trip (* favorite Woody Allen’s movie). Straight after arrival we get rid of our uniforms in order not to waste our time and we head to the city. Before we get lost for good in the Louvre, we visit first the Eiffel Tower and take lot off pictures. First we wanted to wait for the night lighting, but we have heard that the tower would light up after ten o’clock when it is completely dark outside, and we still have to see Mona Lisa, so we give up. Paris underground is a pretty decent maze. I do not speak French (so far!) and my partner has a miserable orientation sense. Somehow, however, we start to understand Paris metro system. The glass pyramid gates are wide open. I quickly find out that in Louvre you could spend four days and still have something to admire, but the night of the museums is unfortunately only one. Here, as well, Paris tests our orientation sense. However, to find famous Mona Lisa is not that difficult, it is always there where most people are. When, after waiting patiently, few heads of people get away from our sight, another head, the most welcomed one, finally emerges. I’m surprised that even such a small picture can be so famous. With Mona Lisa’s smile, we return to the hotel, and especially to our beds…
The next morning we get up too early to feel comfortable, but Paris will not wait. The plan is to visit my favorite Montmartre, area all about old Paris and art: street artists, paintings, cafes, cakes and merry-go-round. I want to live here! Behind the corner, we find Salvator Dalí Museum, my favorite artist. With the souvenir – Dali’s surreal mustache in our pocket, we move to Montparnasse, to the famous café on the 64th floor, where we have great view overlooking the Eiffel Tower. Prices (or height) make us bit dizzy but it’s still worth it. Then we continue in underground labyrinths on our way to Notre Dame, the Church of the Mother of God in Paris. When we finally get out from Church, it starts raining heavily. Nothing like romantic walk in Paris in the rain, as described by Woody Alllen in his movie, but a shower that makes us completely wet in a few seconds. The sign that we should get back to hotel to relax a bit before returning to Abu Dhabi…
