STEWARDESS

I’m a stewardess, but I used to be an editor for a magazine, so I always have had my head in the clouds. In addition, I’ve always been attracted by the heights and distances and so I came up with a great idea – I could explore the world as a flight attendant! 🙂

Dublin is not only a green but, especially, singing city for me. In every corner there is a pub with live music and streets are full of singing and playing artists. That reminds me movie P.S. I love you where Holly complains to her singing husband: “Why I cannot be like singing Irish, who is never worried just singing all day…”

So I tuned myself in Irish way and I’m heading to Dublin. Nothing can ruin my mood today. On board, one bad message is waiting for us: “Checker,” and two of them! “Checker” is a person who is not very popular among the crew. His job is to evaluate our work and cause unnecessary stress. Thanks to the Irish approach, however, I manage my first “checked flight” without any problems! And where the bad news is, must be also one good: Again, I have a flight with Slovak girl Vlada, which I once flew with to Milan.

We head to the city as soon as we arrive. The hotel is fortunately near the city center, so we can just walk. We walk through the streets, where each door has another color, and I wonder whether instead of house numbers Irish prefer color orientation. And when Irish people send mails to their friends, they just write down on the envelope: “The Galway family, Fleet street, the house with those yellow doors.” 🙂 In the first sympathetic bistro, we buy soup and salad and take it away, so we can eat it, as many other Irish, on a bench in the park. Food tastes better on fresh air. We can also feed the swans and ducks with the rest of the bread. After a lunch break, we continue to the city, look into shopping windows and throw some coins into the hats of street artists who are part of the amazing atmosphere in the city. Then we walk in to one of the most popular pubs in the city for a good Guiness beer. The Temple Bar Pub has been in place since 1840 and has been a favorite place for many Irish artists, such as writer James Joyce, to whom we would like to join :). Pubs are full of catchy Irish songs and funny green hats. The holiday of St. Patrick is coming and Irish take it very seriously. On that day no one goes other than in the green and drinks until ends up drunk under the table. We borrow the hats for the photo, but we cannot stay to sleep drunk under the table, because we have to get back to Abu Dhabi next day…
